It's 30 degrees Celsius!

"It's boiling"
It seems England has turned into a tropical paradise...well the sun is shining more than usual!

My wardrobe has fully evolved into summer mode, which for me means 90% Floral. I love all the pops of colour in this outfit, I think you can get away with crazy amounts of colour when it is summer time and the sun is shining.

Like i said i am 90% floral at the moment. I managed to snag this lovely little garden rose top from the H&M sale and was chuffed when i saw the price tag- £5..YES, such a bargain. I like the fact that it is simultaneously  black but colourful because that makes it a versatile night time/ day time item.

Top - H&M

Do you ever buy something, chuck it in your wardrobe, then forget you own it? I've had this skirt for about 3 years and completely forgot, finding it was like making a beautiful new purchase! I love its powdery blue colour and those dainty little white buttons. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better - IT HAS POCKETS! This excites me because in summer i'm not a fan of carrying around a huge bag in this heat, pockets are the perfect solution.

Skirt - Topshop
Belt - Primark

"Sandal perfection"

These sandals are officially my new favourite pair - totally overtaking my Topshop Fatforms. I was instantly drawn to the sort of aztec cut out straps - so boho! They totally have that festival vibe that i love and the off white shade will go with lots of stuff. As much as i hate showing my feet, these sandals were worth it!

Festival fever...

Festival season is in the air and although this isn't the most practical outfit for a festival (shorts= practical) it certainly has that bohemian festival vibe.

Top - Topshop
Belt - Thrifted

With my Chelsea boots and straw hat, i kinda feel like i'm channeling my inner cowgirl.

Boots - Primark
Hat - Accessorize

This old satchel style bag was my favourite last summer because it has sooo much space and i can just chuck in pretty much anything! I love how slouchy it is and the mustard-brown faux leather is awesome.

Bag - River Island

"This skirt."
One of my favorite colours has to be emerald green! This skirt is high-low perfection, it's perfect for summer because the chiffon type fabric is so lightweight and airy.

Skirt - Forever 21

Yes my nails are sunshine yellow - why not!
Every time I look down at them i feel a little more happy. For accessories I just piled on a few rings.

Nail Polish - Barry M
Rings - Topshop

Saturday Style...

~Saturday's outfit of the day~

"All this sunshine better last!"
I'm really getting into summer style and my wardrobe is starting to evolve!
Denim, lace and floral print - a good combination.

I just love the burnt orange terracotta colour on this floral blouse! I think i probably own tons of clothing items in that shade just because it works for both summer and winter. The blouse has a peter pan color which is pretty cute and ads to the whole feminine vibe.

I am currently crazy about this denim jacket! When i was looking for a jacket i was super picky because i think some denim washes can look a little tacky. After looking at light-wash denim, acid wash, dark denim and coloured denim, i finally decided a classic blue was the one for me. I have probably said it a billion times but if you know me, you'll know that i always look for things with quirky little details and as soon as i spotted the simple embroidered color on this jacket i was instantly sold! I also like that the buttons are just a plane brass and not engraved with a brand name.

Denim Jacket - Dorothy Perkins

"Can I get a close up?"

This skirt is feminine lace perfection! I really love all things laced and woven as they tend to have a Boho vibe. This skirt totally compliments my feminine floral blouse and picks out the little white flowers I cinched it all in with a brown belt from Primark. I purchased the skirt at H&M and i have to say i am loving their summer collection at the moment!

Skirt - H&M

"Flatform Feet"
Even though i absolutely detest looking at feet and people looking at my feet, i thought i'd suck it up in order to show you these beauties! Topshop have a beautiful range of quirky footwear at the moment and really wanted a pair of summery sandals. When i saw this rather simple white pair i was sold, the height enhancement is a total bonus when you're only 5ft 2.

~ Accessories ~
I love hair accessories, hats and flower crowns and i don't we wear them enough! I decided to turn an old chiffon scarf into a little turban head-wrap, and to match this d.i.y Boho accessory i chose my brown vintage bag which some adorable tassels. My sunnies were a Primark £1 bargain which you've seen before in many of my posts - it may be time to expand my collection!

Turban head-wrap - D.I.Y
Sunglasses - Primark
Bag - Vintage store

"Close up number 2 please"
I have been obsessed with this teal nail-polish from Topshop for so long now. It is summer perfection and clashes with everything in the right way!

"....and that's a wrap"

Denim on Denim - Topshop on Topshop

~ Is Double Denim ever OK ? ~

Brace yourself for a whole lotta denim and and a whole lotta topshop ...

As soon as we hear those alliterated words "Double Denim" we instantly think MAJOR 80'S FASHION FAUX PAS right? Yes i have to admit the idea can seem a little cringe worthy but sometimes a little double denim is okay...

The biggest Double denim mistake people make is wearing two items of  denim that are the exact same colour and the exact same texture...NO!  If you are going to tackle this denim trend then the best way is to mix a light wash with dark wash or stone wash denim like the one i'm sporting above. A full on Jean suit is never a good look (just take a look at Britney spears and Justin Timberlake in 2001).

I love the speckled stone wash on these jeans, Topshop is always my favourite place to shop for a comfy pair of jeans, especially the 'LEIGH' range - if you own a pair you will totally understand!

Jeans - Topshop

A denim Jacket is a staple item in pretty much every girl's wardrobe, to me light wash denim just screams SUMMER!
Denim Jacket - Topshop  (loaned from a friend)
Floral Blouse - Topshop

- So the answer is YES! Sometimes double denim is ok -

Okay so if you're not ready or willing to tackle the 'DD' look a nice chunky knit cardigan is always a good option to just throw on for those 'not quite summer yet' days! I love this cardigan its my go to thing its super warm, super soft and was super cheap - a total primark bargin!
Cardigan - Primark

I finished off this outfit with my favourite pear of healed Chelsea boots - a bit of height enhancement is always good when you're as short as me!

Boots - Amazon

Spring/Summer looks

~  GRAB A CUP OF TEA THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG POST ~

SPRING SEASON IS HERE.

Okay so this is more summery than spring but i'm a little too excited for summer!
You may have noticed the flower crown on my head, i absolutely love this Lana Del Rey inspired summer accessory. Now i'm all for the 'Crown and Glory' brand, but just wasn't willing to splash out the cash in my (empty) purse for a flower crown that i wasn't going to wear everyday. So i used my D.I.Y skills to make my own and i may do another post on how to make one. But i love them, although i don't recommend wearing them on a casual shopping trip - personally i think this is strictly festival summer head-wear!

This flapper style tasseled top is my absolute fave at the moment! And paired with this lacey white skater style skirt it kinda looks like a little dress! Since its spring i can finally bring out my teal loafers , they add that little pop off colour to the outfit!

Flower Crown - Handmade
Top - H&M
Skirt - H&M
Shoes - Primark
White lacey details everywhere - if you know me you know this is PERFECTION."I totally have 10 birds flying round my neck"

   Necklace - Primark (BARGAIN)

And because its not yet summer a kimono or big shirt will be perfect to just throw on top for when it gets a little more chilly!

~ And here comes look number 2 ~

"SHE WORE THAT TOP TWICE"
 - If Kate Middleton can get away with style recycling then we all can!
You can create a completely different look using the same item! I love this blue high low skirt, i purchased it so long ago in Christmas sale for like £8 or some outrageously lucky price like that.

Skirt - Topshop
Hat - Miss selfridge

I think prefer this look simply because the tassle details are more noticible because the white stands out against that iridescent blue!

Chucked on my trusty pair of karen walker style  sunnies - summer dreaming!

I think a knotted belt always adds a little touch of 'Boho'

Who doesn't love a bowler hat?! - since the season is changing i decided to whack out my straw bowler hat - this has way more of a summer vibe than my normal black hat.

Thank you so much for stopping by, reading and looking - let me know what you think of both looks and which look you prefer? I LOVE reading all of your comments!

The Cambridge Satchel Look.

"It's that geek chic look"
After receiving a Cambridge Satchel from my AMAZING parents i decided to do a post on styling it. My personal style is always quite layered; I went for the classic Jumper and collared shirt combination with a little denim pinafore dress..and of course my favourite bowler hat.

Pinafore dress - Topshop
Boots - Primark

~ Attention to detail ~
Another one of my collared blouses (I must own like 50 by now) but whenever i see clothing with pretty little detailing i'm instantly sold. This speckled jumper is one of my favourite mainly because its forest green and so super soft!

Blouse  - Thrifted
Jumper - Topshop

I completely ADORE this Brown 15" Batchel, the leather is so strong and sturdy so i can expect to have it for a long time - and i'm talking YEARS here. Most of my bags break within a year because the straps are so weak so this is a big upgrade. I love the retro/vintage look it has and cannot wait to keep styling it in different ways this summer!
