Topshop's Top-Prints...

Topshop have some B E A U T I F U L prints and patterns in their clothing line at the moment, just take a look...

1) "Channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn"

Paisley is personally my favourite print, this little shift dress is so adorable and definitely has a 1960's feel with its classic A-line shape. Little dresses like this tend to flatter most figures because they don't hug any lumps and bumps but have a timeless silhouette...so we are free to eat as much cake as we like in this one ladies!

2) "Daring Denim"

This Lovely little number is a bold choice and definitely something i would go for. You may think its a little too much being denim and patterned BUT if styled with simple and minimal pieces it will look stunning. The colours will work wonderfully in summer and even autumn seasons. It's so refreshing to see a unique and bold piece like this in Topshop.

3) "Turtle neck 'n' Teal"
I love LOVE LOVE this dress! The shape is so classy, and as you can tell i love things that are high neck. This Dress is a lot more formal than the others but ever girl needs a go to dress for a more formal occasion. the tiny embroidered damask print is absolutely beautiful, and it is teal - and absolute winner!

4) "Patterned Playsuit"

This playsuit is without a doubt a bold little number. The terracotta tones and baroque print make me think of Morocco. It is definitely one for the summer holidays on vacation in a nice warm country..if you're lucky..if not wear it anyway!

~A tip from Mutsy~
When wearing a printed and colourful dress try to think MINIMAL when styling it. One of these dresses with an patterned studded jacket and a big paisley scarf...probably not a good idea.
BUT i think it's always good to be a little more bold by incorporating prints and patterns into your wardrobe.

Style Spotter

I had to stop this lovely lady as soon as i spotted this skirt!
"Is that from urban outfites?!" -  I totally guessed it right!

Paisley is probably my favourite pattern...or one of them anyway. I think it is absolutely beautiful and usually super colouful. It definitely has a vintage feel to it as it was really popular in the 60's and i'm a total sucker for all things pretty and vintage or just vintage inspired.

She completed her outfit with a lovely cream blouse and a pair of suede oxford brougue style shoes. - Adorable

Style Spotter...

I stumbled upon some lovely style after college. I go to a 6th form college so everyone has to dress relativity 'smart'. With his lovely pair of turtle shell glasses, Luke here is working his 'Geek chic' look! I adore his dark ocher colored parka style coat and the fur trim is perfect for all this cold weather. I love all things teal and so his jumper caught my eye - Since jumpers and sweaters are majorly versatile and unisex I'm considering going out and getting one just like it!

Style Spotter...

It brings me so much joy spotting style on the streets or in this case at college!

I call this one - 'The Cambridge look'

From head to toe this outfit oozes sophistication and class! He beautifully coordinated his brown oxford brogues with some brown leather gloves and a beige pair of trousers. This is one boy who knows how to accessorize; his blue and white scarf matches the royal blue double breasted  coat wonderfully! What really tops it all off is the fact that he is wearing a...
CAMBRIDGE STYLE SATCHEL - brown genuine leather, unfortunately you can't see it in the photograph. A special thank you to my rather stylish guest!

Surprisingly cute and COMFY!

As you can tell by all the scuffs these wedges have been worn A LOT. The large platform and wedge make them super comfortable! Black suede and rose gold lining - they simply scream 'Sophisticated'

From - Office

Because both pairs of heals are so comfortable they have been worn to death - hence the scuffed up bottoms. Everybody needs a nude pair of heels and this patent pair match just about everything! The insanely thick platform along with the chunky heals = COMFORT.
They have a slight 70's vibe and are definitely my 'go to' heals!

Outfit of the day...

~ A sweet little outfit ~

I have a major love for blouses with interesting collars! When I found this lovely thing it was in size 12 with very long sleeves; I simply chopped off the sleeves and re-hemmed the edges. You can hardly tell it's a size 12

I've had this jumper for so long and was drawn to the  cute crochet detail and scalloped sleaves

A little teal bag...

This little bag is definitely my favourite at the moment. I purchased it last summer on holiday in Italy. With Teal being my favourite colour and the bag being genuine leather - buying this bag was a total win win situation!

It gets better! At the back the single strap has a zip which allows you to have 2 straps so you can carry it like a little rucksack!

~  A Tip From Me ~
If you fall into the trap of only buying bags that you think will match every outfit, you'll probably end up with way too many brown or black bags (like me). Be a little more bold and try something with a splash of colour!

Outfit of the day. . .

The collar on this blouse is SUBLIME - Thrifted from a charity shop

Boots, boots and more BOOTS!

~ Black Riding Boots ~
These boots are by far my favourite this 'winter season'. I purchased them last year at Christmas time and was truly let down by the weather. But due to this sudden January snow storm in England I've whipped these beauties out again! For so long I've wanted a pair of knee high boots and since i own way too many pairs of brown shoes i decided to go for a black pair. I was instantly drawn to the quilted detail that runs all the way up the boots (I'm a total sucker for interesting little touches). They reminded me of the black Chanel quilted boots, but obviously i got them for a fraction of the price - TOTAL WIN!

~ Brown Chelsea Boots ~
As soon as autumn came around my Chelsea boots became my'go to' pair of shoes. pretty much all of my clothes go with brown and 99% of my shoe collection is brown so these were the perfect choice for me. After scouring the market and comparing prices as i always do, i was completely thrilled to find these in Primark, I've forgotten the price but it was under £15 - "CHEAP AS CHIPS"
From - Primark

~  Burgundy Chelsea Boots~
I think these boots are pretty much - PERFECT! I think i may be going through an ankle boot craze at the moment, being 5ft2 means i'll purchase all slightly 'height enhancing' shoes. I loved my brown Chelsea boots but I've worn them way too often so it was time for an upgrade! Initially i looked for a black pair but like i said i'm always drawn to stuff that is a little more different and when i found this pair in a divine wine colour i was totally sold!

Hello Blog-world

I've always wanted to start my own blog and with my exams out of the way (for now) NOW seems like the time to do it! I'm in my first year of 6th form college and for years and years I've wanted to be a professional photographer so i'm hoping to in-cooperate that into this blog! If you have ever seen confessions of a shopaholic, this blog is my own confessions of a STYLE-aholicWhether it's just looking at clothes or photographing clothes, buying clothes and styling clothes - I love it all! Why? Because it's like art on your body, it can be a visual method of self expression, you can explore a limitless range of colours, fabrics and textures! Ok i could go on and on for days but I'll keep it short and sweet.

"I hope you enjoy my little pocket of the big blog-world!"                                                       - Mutsy X
